Okay....this was on my maybe list of things to get done this year, but here we are in March and it's already done!
I still have a lot of ideas for this foyer area - I'm thinking a stair runner, new light fixture, and maybe some picture moulding, but the railing being painted black made a huge difference.
If you want to read about how I started painting the trim around the railing you can catch up on there here. But this is what it looked like after I got rid of the honey oak trim.
Without wasting anymore of your time on the background stuff - here is how the railing turned out!
Doesn't it look so much better? Pretend it does even if you don't. haha. I love it! I decided to go with Sherwin Williams Tricorn black for the paint color.
It's a beautiful timeless, true black.
I decided to use my paint sprayer for this project rather than hand brushing the whole railing. That would have taken forever. I counted and we have 32 spindles, so it was a no for me. Instead I tarped off my whole entire 2 story entryway and used my paint sprayer. I'll get into more detail on how exactly I did that in a later post! For now, hope you enjoy this before and after!
Is this a satin or semigloss? It’s beautiful
